This project is an example application for a typical Ionic app with a Spring Boot backend.
This can be used for the start of a Zip Code Wilmington group project. It should be thought of as a Slack clone. It currently implements a simple public "channel" with some text posts in it. It has multiple pages on it's tabbed interface, and and shows how multiple pages get handled.
Currently, the editing of a post does not work, but shows how a simple modal could work for editing something displayed on a page.
You can read about how this application was created in Develop a Mobile App With Ionic and Spring Boot. Feel free to copy any code in this project for your own use in accordance with the Apache license.
Prerequisites: Java 8 and Node.js.
To run the Spring Boot backend, cd into server
and run mvn spring-boot:run
.
In another terminal window, install Ionic and Cordova.
npm install -g ionic cordova
Next, cd into ionic-zipteam
and execute npm install && ionic serve
. The aforementioned tutorial shows you how to deploy this app to an emulator/device.
